In 1995 more people were coming out to play, some who had never played before and wanted to learn the game, so we
went to Ladner with 2 teams, the Hyacks and Sapperton. The Hyacks won all 4 of their games with hi-lights being Rick
Janssen and Ted Taylor getting their first goals. Randy Fletcher scored on the only penalty shot awarded so far and he
scored the winner in overtime, this is a hi-light because he doesn't score very often. Other hi-lights included Gary
MacLaughlin picking up 9 points and Lance Osborne getting 8 points that weekend. The only other note worth mentioning
is all the discussion the two teams had about who would have the honor of wearing the teal colored jersey's. The
Hyacks lost. While the Hyacks were winning in their part of the division, the Sapperton team was also going un-defeated
in their division, which meant that we would meet in the final to decide who was the best team. As I was on the losing
team of that game, I have no more say on the matter.
